It's been 20 years since Star Wars: Episode I was released in theaters. Yes, two whole decades since George Lucas took a big, steaming turd on the entire franchise. To celebrate the 20th anniversary of this mediocre movie, I'll be playing the equally-mediocre Phantom Menace tie-in game with DSOAL to restore EAX effects and 3D positional audio (IRC_1037).
The Phantom Menace is a rather shoddy adventure game that has become a bit of a cult classic due to the utter disregard it has towards murdering innocent people. Yes, you can basically kill whoever you want in this game with minimal consequences as long as it's not a storyline-important NPC. TPM is really frustrating to play, as you have to deal with an awful top-down camera perspective along with clunky tank controls. There's no analog or raw mouse input support, so you're basically forced to use a digital gamepad.
Note that while the game uses EAX reverb, it only applies it to the voice acting for some strange reason. Due to the tilted camera angle, sounds behind you also sound below you.

I know Disney owns Star Wars, but I've seen too many YT videos use the logo in thumbnails to think they'd come after me for using this. Use of this logo falls under fair use laws for non-profit purposes...not that saying this will help me.
