State Of Decay 2 {Part 3} I think I may be having fun...???
7Let's Play State of Decay 2 on the Xbox One S and this is PART 3 of this series. All gameplay footage was recorded using the Xbox One's built-in capture software and then upscaled to 1080p. So, this episode I really struggle still to work out what on earth I am supposed to be doing. My god its complicated to understand and it throws so much HUD and UI stuff at you and its constant. But surprisingly I actually think I am starting to get the hang of it! Slowly but surely and my home base people seem happy which is good. I complete a few more missions this episode and we unlock an outpost for the first time before going to the next mission which is infiltrating a military outpost and looting it for some much-needed supplies. The game has two loot systems from what I can tell with one being the immediate loot that effects the player characters such as heeling items and things like weapons and upgrades. The other loot system revolves around the actual home base, so base supplies such as food and water but also building materials used for building up the home base which makes it better and more efficient over time. Some items can be used by both base and character. The game is very complex and reminds me a lot of the old Theme Park, Theme Hospital era games. The tutorial needed to be a lot more in depth but then again that could be too much information too quickly making it even more confusing. Luckily there are a tonne of great videos on YouTube that explain every aspect of the game in as much or as little detail as you want. The more I play this game though the more I am starting to actually enjoy it and I can see how many people would give up on it before fully understanding how to play it properly but there's not much you can really do about that. I don't think I will be one of those people since so far, I understand enough that I feel as though I am progressing. Thats the most important thing, to feel your moving forwards.
