State Of Decay 2 {Part 5} So THAT'S a plague HEART !!!
6Its once again time to dive back into State of Decay 2 Juggernaut edition and this is a Microsoft exclusive. All my gaming footage has been recorded using the Xbox One's built-in game capture capability. It is recorded in 720p but then upscaled to 1080p for the best image quality I can achieve with the equipment and setup I currently have. Okay, so what happens in this episode that I can tell you about... Well, the first main objected I decided to create for myself is to have a road trip around the entire map so as to get a better understanding of the area and what I can
expect to find. I read that there are no respawning items in this game at all s once you've looted a place that's it, it cannot be looted again as it is rendered empty. So, with this knowledge in mind, it stands to reason that I will eventually have to mov e from my current base location and re-establish my base somewhere else once the resources have all been used up in this current location. So, with that in mind I go off for a drive and a look around the place I will be calling my home state for the next however long I play the game for. Once realising how massive the map
actually, is I decided to choose a vantage point where I can spot with my binoculars the location so that they will appear on my main map for future reference. It ended up being a tower in a caravan park that was selected and so that's where I ended up. All went fine and after a quick search for supplies around the caravans and trailers I loaded up the truck and headed back to base a few more items better off and a map containing new locations and information. A successful mission that I was so pleased with I decided to go out on another adventure but this time I answered the call from the new friends I had helped out the night before. They needed me to take on a plague heart that had sprouted up and so not knowing exactly what an earth a plague heart is I tooled up and enthusiastically head back out on the road taking my fellow survivor Jen along for the ride. We arrived at the house our new friends are holding up in and agreed we would help them on their mission to destroy the heart, the so-called plague heart!! We follow their directions to the location of the problem, and it turned out to be located inside a residential house. The house has a noticeable red residue floating around the halls and rooms as well as some drifting around outside of the house also. One of our new friends trades us some pipe bombs and also explains that these bombs will be the perfect weapon for taking out the heart once and for all. I still wasn't exactly sure what it is we are going to face, maybe some huge boss zombie like the big fat ones seen on the games advertising media but could one of those really fit inside a small house?? We enter and after a tense search I finally see it... It's not a zombie or even a monster at all.
It is some kind of tumorous mass growing out of the walls of the house or maybe it is more like a fungus that spoors and seeds to anywhere dark and damp where it is left to grow out of control. Very interesting and I look forwards to hopefully finding out exactly what these things are and how they work! I did notice that upon attacking the plague heart a small horde of those red covered walking dead came running to the tumours aid like it was calling to them that it was being attacked like a queen bee releases a pheromone when under threat so the soldiers will defend her and the hive! It's all very interesting and creative which I love. After taking out the heart we drive the two friends back to their house and drop them off. We are asked by the woman who goes by Flash if we want to invite them to join us, well I think that's what they were meaning, but I decided to end the episode there before making the choice. I will choose when we are back next episode. Anyway, thanks for watching everyone.
