State Of Decay 2 {Part 6} NEW recruits and a BIGGER Home Base!!
5Let us play State of Decay 2 Juggernaut edition and this is episode number 6. This is a Microsoft exclusive game for PC and Xbox One and I am playing the Xbox One version. All gameplay footage has been captured using the Xbox One's built-in capture software in 720p that is then upscaled to 1080p using an upscaling software during the editing process. Hopefully if the channel grows, I will be able to invest in some much better and up to date equipment in the future for maximum quality video. The audio is a bit poor in this one I am afraid; I had my microphone set to loud on the preamp by accident and therefore its clipping quite a lot in certain places. I do apologise for that if it makes your viewing experience unwatchable, but I will make sure it doesn't happen again. Even after almost five months of regular and sometimes daily video uploads I am still most certainly learning the craft of video making and YouTube creation. Okay, now that is out of the way let us get to today's episode description! This is a strange one I think due to the time I have allocated per episode. It is starting to seem like half an hour is not enough time to really get a lot done in this game so I will have to have a think whether I increase the episode length in future. It may just be a case of still learning the game mechanics and will rectify itself once I understand much better what I am doing. So much time is taken up just reading things and figuring out how to do the simple things that would usually take just a few seconds once I know how to do it. But we shall just keep plodding along and see how it goes, things can be adjusted and corrected as we go along. So, in this episode we finally recruit our first ever survivors and
welcome them into our home base. These are the two characters we helped out in the previous episode when they wanted to destroy a plague heart and asked if we would go along with them for a bigger show of force which we did. By doing this we earned their trust enough that they were willing to either accept an invitation into our group as full-time members which means we now have access to use them as playable characters. Or they gave us another option which was to have them as a friendly group that we could use and rely on only they would live in their own community
and not be living with us. At least that's what I think that option meant as I never actually chose it! I assume by choosing that one you don't have another pair of mouths to feed and resources to provide them. Once we had recruited them it came apparent, they both had the virus infection and they need medical treatment fast, this was a surprise as nearly all of my community now have this virus and I really don't have the resources to manage them all! SO, it was decided that we needed a bigger and safer home base with much more access to resources. I took Thom and we went out on the road again hoping to find somewhere bigger and better we could call our home. It turned out the closest place to our original home base was big and well defendable so after looking over it and exploring all it had to offer, I made the decision that this was the place for us and so we all moved into our new place. That is where the episode ends, and the next episode will be spent getting our new location stocked up and built up as best as we can manage! The biggest priority for us at the moment though is getting everyone cured from the virus infection so building an infirmary that can house multiple patients is crucial otherwise they will all start dropping dead very soon indeed. The infection is my biggest worry right now and I must get my community back to good health if I have to move heaven and earth! So stayed tuned for the next episode and thanks for watching this one!
