State Of Decay 2 {Part 9} ABORT ABORT ABORT !!!!
6Let us play State of Decay 2 Juggernaut edition and this is episode number 9. All gameplay footage was captured using the Xbox Ones built in capture capabilities and the resolution has been upscaled from 720p to 1080p for the best picture quality I am able to manage with the equipment I have available to me. This episode begins with us now being armed with some new information about the state of the group and what is needed to get them healthy again. We begin this episode with a much healthier team but a very much more miserable team of people due to multiple things I am still figuring out and learning. I am not sure what will happen if the group become very unhappy for an extended period of time but hopefully I wont ever have to experience that as I plan to make everyone very happy as soon as I understand how to do that. One person commented on one of the previous State of Decay videos explaining how infestations contributed to the overall happiness of the group so I checked the map and realised many infestations had been popping up near to where our base is. With this new knowledge at hand its time to start dealing with the infestations and get my group feeling a bit happier. Choosing to take control of Salvador and also bringing Thom along for added backup we come up with a plan to clear out our first infestation together. It seemed to be a good idea to take on the infestation nearest to our military outpost so that we could be well stocked up and if it all went wrong we wouldn't be very far away from a safe place. Also the distance between the outpost and the infestation is close enough that if the car got taken out of action we would not have far to travel on foot before we had supplies and some safety. So the plan is to use the outpost as a staging zone for operation infestation and so we get into the car and drive there. Once we arrive we check the storage unit for anything that may help us achieve the goal and its decided that we will take firecrackers with us in hopes of using them as a distraction to lure the zombies away from us if they begin to horde and outnumber us. The plan is finalised and now its time to head out on our mission. I chose to take and control Salvador due to him being a new member of the group and the fact he has very low stats so this would be a good opportunity to start getting him levelled up. Thom is actually pretty good as far as his stats go by this point of the game so he should be able to get Salvador out of trouble at a pinch if its needed. Arriving at the infestation it is clear the car is in very poor shape with smoke bellowing from the engine. This created a problem as the plan was to use the car or truck to take out as many zombies as possible while the two men are safe inside. But due to the already damaged truck it is not going to stand up to much more abuse and the decision is made to only use it for transport there and back. We exit the car and start heading towards the front of the property containing the infestation but due to it being nigh time and very dark we didn't notice a large group of zombies passing the building and suddenly it all started going wrong! The zeds attacked us and Salvador was way to low level causing him to constantly run out of stamina after only a few swings of his weapon. We where becoming way out of our depths with this! It wasn't long before the zombies inside the infested building came out starting with two screamers. I tried running them down and getting some attacks in before they started screaming but I was out of stamina and just couldn't make it in time. The awful screams followed by the inability to move while the screams happened was pretty much a death sentence for the two men. The horde came spilling out of the building and swarmed us, I threw the firecrackers hoping to distract them but nothing. They ignored the distraction and kept attacking and swarming. There was just to many of them and by this point I had lost sight of Thom who was also under heavy attack! I decided to abort the mission and get to the safety of the car hoping Thom would follow and get in with me. Then everything went very wrong for the two team mates....
