Ahhh… Ngo… I’m gonna die of sweetness overload. The stream this is from is special, it was her first ASMR stream and also one of her presents to us on the first birthday of hers we got to spend together. I know it’s less impactful out of that context, but I still hope some of that emotion is conveyed. She really is just an insanely sweet and loving girl.
Compared to the other Ngo clips this one was relatively easy, but it’s Ngo, you know how she is, she’s always hard to sub. Her speed-talking also makes the subs go by fast and makes it hard to place them well. This clip also comes with the added bonus of containing mostly phrases the English language simply is not powerful enough to convey properly (see TNs). All the usual disclaimers apply: I make these translations in large part to practice my Japanese, which is not very good. I have my work proofread by my friend Cherem, whose Japanese is much better than mine. Big thanks to him for doing so. I like to leave detailed translator’s notes to help people understand why I chose to translate certain things in certain ways.

1:19 Throughout this clip, Ngo says “I love you” in various different ways, and although the differences are of course important, I consider all of them to be equally or even more intense than the English “I love you,” so I have decided not to replace the comparatively less intense versions with unfittingly mild English phrases, and there are no more intense English phrases to use for the more intense versions. These are also fairly common and well-known terms, even among English-speakers. With that in mind, I will briefly explain the major differences in this TN.
Suki: A normal, default way to say "love." Although used often in reference to concepts or inanimate objects to mean a more mild "like," when used towards people (especially when speaking directly to them, as in this case), it usually refers to romantic love. Fairly intense in that context. Often used in stereotypical confessions.
Daisuki: Like "suki," but bigger. You can tell because it's got the prefix for "big" stuck on the front. Definitely more intense, but used in similar situations.
Aishiteru/Aishitemasu: The final boss of confessions. Expresses a level of love that's not even conceivable to most people. You would only ever say this to your absolute star-crossed lover, someone you were 1000% sure you loved more than anything else and would do anything to spend the rest of your life with. Unfathomable intensity. Only for extreme circumstances. (“Aishitemasu” is a somewhat more polite/formal version.)
5:24 As usual, I’m not going to try to replicate her using her name as her 1st person pronoun by having her refer to herself in the 3rd person in English since that would just sound way worse, but please do be aware that her usual 1st person pronoun is “Ngo.” (cute)
