#SuperOldGameSaturday - Rockman X4 (Sega Saturn) & Mega Man X4 (PlayStation)
Originally Recorded/Aired on December 10th, 2022
Nocturne and Proterova are back for our long-awaited return to the Mega Man X franchise with maybe as exhaustive a look at one single game of any we've covered so far on this show (hence why, with the edits, this is our longest so far), but is deserving for its it for its 25th anniversary. It's 1997's Mega Man X4 for the PlayStation and Saturn, and to cover its two unique stories, we played both versions, myself as X on the US PlayStation game and Nocturne as Zero on the Japanese Saturn edition. Her and I have experience with this first 32-bit shot of Mega Man X (and we feel we may have convinced Proterova and maybe you to check this one out, if you haven't) and clearly, the best chat on Twitch that joined us for this one also have theirs, with ElecVerse, DarthLoctus, DollyFinn, Cazim22 and many more adding a great deal to our show by going deep as we (and they) always do on this program. From our experiences with this game, its differences between regions and the systems it was on (which there are many of both), discussions on the game's voice performances, music and stories, as well as last week's Game Awards, when video games tire us as we play them, our pets and much much more, we covered it all as we showed the experiences of X and Zero dealing with Repliforce and the returning Sigma with no stone unturned (including edits going deeper into X's Ultimate Armor and showing off the cutscenes for both languages). We all had a terrific time with this show that I can't thank Nocturne, Proterova and chat enough for and one that I hope you'll savor it as much as we did playing (and now, without the technical issues that came from Twitch's side during the show). So sit back, relax and enjoy our jam-packed play of Mega Man X4 (and if you like what you see here, stop by https://www.twitch.tv/captainditrag each Saturday at 7 PM EST to see these streams live and join/help drive the conversations on what we play each week)!
