I located the Eggmines and I went in. This mine is odd, there was an Orc who threatened me to leave or he would get violent. I rushed past him and encountered a ghost! I'm not sure whats going on but I wanted out of here so I find the Dwemer ruins and grab a blueprint and another book that I have no idea what to do with. I ran back to Edwinna and she was pleased with what I did and felt the need to mention that our current Mages guild leader is not fit for the role as he does not pursue academic advancements but is placed there as some form of figurehead.

She had no more tasks for me and suggested I go to Sadrith Mora, which was a good idea as all the other factions were gathered there as well! I figured I'd follow up with the thieves because while I have been here before, getting some information would be more helpful than running around like a headless chicken not knowing where is what. I met with Big Helende and her first task was to have me steal a potion recipe for the mages guild. I thought it was amusing that two Imperial factions would help each other out.

Unfortunately, this was the first time I messed up. I was caught. The bounty was only 100 but I was ashamed of myself. Nonetheless, the task was a success and I was given another to work on: Steal a Grandmaster Retort. This time I would try to be more discrete and use my Shadow Amulet to make this easier since the Retort was in plain sight. I returned the Helende and she gave me 200 gold... "Really?" I questioned. I get that she holds the contract but the payout was pretty low. She had another task waiting for me.

I was tasked with enlisting a mage to protect the bar. Simple. The mages guild was in Wolverine Hall and I asked around only to find out they'll send a mage over in exchange for 4 Raw Ebony pieces. Expensive but manageable as I robbed the "Best Alchemist" in town and turned in the Ebony. The battlemage was sent and my reward for this was an enchanted ring... worth no more than 15 gold. I despise this woman.

I am to steal a cookbook. I felt that this was going to pay low anyway so I made a detour to Vivec where I found Trebonius. I asked if he had anything for me to do and he proceeded to task me with finding out how the Dwarves disappeared. This long-debated question that has lasted centuries with the greatest minds and scholars working themselves to death in an attempt to find out how the Dwarves left this realm and this brainless leader gave it to me, A simple Imperial. I'm getting this strange feeling that I may just be bothering people so they send me on simple quests to be rid of me.

Yet this was a task for the ages! "Fine," I said. I'll figure it out somehow. I resumed my journey to Ald'ruhn where I linked up with Edwinna since she would be my best chance at understanding why the Dwarves vanished. I presented her with books that I found in the ruins and she suggested I find a translator. While I was there I picked up the book the client wanted. Hasphat was the only other individual to show an interest in Dwemer-related topics I presented the books to him and he gave little advice: find someone older.

How foolish of me. I spent all this time looking for a translator when there a living Dwarf living in the basement of an insane Dunmer's tower!
