The Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion | Another Day Another Statue
#nocommentary #elderscrolls #letsplay
I returned to the Imperial City but unfortunately, it was dark. I very much doubt that the collector would want to be disturbed in his sleep so I rented out a bed for the evening and waited for daybreak. Upon revisiting Umbacano and selling him another statue, he offered me another task. While I was curious about getting more work I told him that the task could wait until he had a complete set.
There were no complaints on his end and I proceeded to reenter in the Arena again. I had to fight two yellow team members and I figured it would be a good time to test out those magic arrows. One was a melee and the other was ranged which works out me for. As long as I kept moving and landed my shots I should emerge victorious. After my win, I collected my gold and left the city to find the next statue.
In that swampy area where I found the last ruins I think I spotted another nearby. I had to wonder if it could be one of those back-to-back moments where I could just another statue easily. Wendelbek was the next ruin I wanted to check out. The undead flooded the area and all I could feel was annoyance for their existence. How could something that is reanimated still be durable? These zombies will not go down without a fierce fight.
The gates are too hard for me to pick and thus I made the decision to jump down the railing to explore more of the ruin. The place is filled with gas. I worried for a moment if I would perish down here if I took in too much gas... I have to find this statue quickly. I soon found the statue but no key for the gates. I was trapped. Should my lock-picking skills fail me I will not last long in these ruins. Thankfully I thought of a solution: there is an area where the walls will rise up to trap me and fill the area with gas. I rode up with the wall and jumped to the railing to escape. Not the most elegant of solutions but it only goes to show that I cannot be reckless here as well.
I made my way back to the city and sold Umbacano the fourth statue. I'm packing some coins now, perhaps I could purchase some property soon. I sold off whatever other loot I had and rested. Once more I can feel the power surging within me, its only a matter of concentration.
