This Steak Sauce is even better on a Burger!! | Whiskey Peppercorn Sauce #shorts
I normally make this sauce for my steaks…. But today, burgers have entered the chat!
This is my Whiskey Shallot Peppercorn sauce and a ton of you guessed it right or very close!
Ingredients:
• 2 Burger Pattie’s , I used @eatmeatdistrict
• 2 tbsp avocado oil
• Seasoning of choice, I used @chilesandsmoke canyon crust
• Havarti cheese, sliced
• 1 tbsp butter
• 1 shallot, diced
• 1-1.5 tbsp crushed peppercorns
• 2 tbsp bourbon
• 1/3 cup beef stock
• 1/3 cup heavy cream
• 1 tbsp cold butter, cubed
• brioche buns
Instructions:
1. Start by cooking the burgers to your preference, I went with a perfect Medium! Then melt the cheese over the top and set aside loosely covered with foil.
2. In the same pan, add 1 tbsp of butter along with the diced shallots. Stir and cook those down until they soften.
3. Add the peppercorns to the shallots and stir them in, letting them cook for about 30 seconds. Then we can add the bourbon and burn off the fumes with a quick flambé.
4. Next we need to add the beef stock and heavy cream, and stir/whisk to combine. Keep stirring so the sauce can come together and let it simmer to reduce for about 10 minutes.
5. To finish the sauce, add a few cubes of cold butter and stir that in to help give the sauce a velvety smooth texture!
6. Build your burger, and enjoy!!
