Back before Neversoft were creating maps for Call of Duty, and even before they became responsible for keeping the Guitar Hero series afloat, they were best known for their work on the Tony Hawk series. I had forgotten that the first Pro Skater game was actually called Tony Hawk's Skateboarding in portions of Europe, and I'd also completely forgotten how much they added to the series as they went along. It seems crazy that you couldn't even manual in the first game, which makes combos much lower in score than in the sequels. You can see that the concept is there, and it's still a lot of fun to play, but the trick system isn't quite the complete Tony Hawk system you might be used to.
