I had to re-record this because the previous version had such awful framerate issues. Attentive viewers may notice that some of the details here don't line up with the rest of the run. I like this video better than the previous one anyway. This shows my Degenerate trick I use on the Goblin Leaders break down, and I show how I have to respond in that scenario. I also manage to trap the Ogre in place, which is a rare feat.

The Fire Elemental is kind of what inspired me to start doing minimalist runs for Vagrant Story in the first place, because the game gives you a Salamander Ruby, Salamander Bracelet, Undine Jasper, Pyro Guard and Frost Fusion all right before him. This is what made me start thinking Vagrant Story was a game that always gave you what you needed, as long as you knew to look for it. That said, though, he is almost always one of the easiest bosses in any run, because you are so well prepared for him.

The Ogre can be more of a problem. He's primarily weak to a Piercing Fire weapon, which can be hard to make at this point in the game. In some runs, I try to make certain my Air weapon still has so little Air that I can easily convert it to Fire with a gem. But since I'm deliberately racking Air as fast as possible in this run, I was out of bounds for that. Fortunately the Ogre is secondarily weak to Air, and not particularly dangerous offensively, so my setup was good enough.
