Vagrant Story - Spears Only Minimalist Run - Part 13: In Which Ashley Grabs a Bigger Spear

This is the hardest part of these challenge runs, outside of the Cathedral. The Abandoned Mines B2 run is a long stretch filled with a lot of enemies that creates major pressures on Risk/MP/DP management, depending on your playstyle.
I'm going to be doing this in three sweeps, in order to fully complete the area. The first sweep (this video) will be to get the Affinity. The second sweep will be to get the other chest in here and kill the boss. The final sweep will be to exit the area and get to the next save point.
I'm mostly concerned with DP on my Slashy Nail here, because it has to carry the lion's share of the work, so I keep Frost Fusion up on it. I could get by with Edged/Earth on these Orcs, but Edged/Water hits them hardest. Furthermore, they give Physical element and eventually will kill my Earth. In any event, I stick to Water to shave a hit off of each kill and preserve my DP as much as possible.
I switched to Stormy Nail for slimes. Not only is it best at killing them, but I'm still farming Air on it.
9:25 The room with the chest in it is one of the top three worst rooms in the game (the worst two are coming up in Parts 14 and 15). The Imps have too much HP for as small of a target as they are and as fast as they can fly. Finding a weapon combination that can down them in three or less hits is difficult. They seem designed to be taken down by Spirit Surge, as they're vulnerable to Blunt and Light, but Ashley doesn't have the MP to make that work effectively. Their evasion on most of their body parts is also high in conjunction with everything else. The spells they cast hit hard, and finally, one of the two Imps in every room knows how to cast Stun Cloud, which I have no way to counter under these run conditions.
They're actually annoyingly cooperative in this particular video, although that's partly because my setup is geared toward them. Braveheart + Invigorate to get 100% accuracy on their heads, and Stormy Nail + Luft Fusion to be able to 4-shot them.
11:22 After I get Affinity, I swap to it and go kill some extra Orcs to try to fill its PP up. After this I'll be setting it aside until the Sky Dragon himself, which is the whole reason I came this route.
