The Crimson Blades in this area are a pretty nasty ordeal under any run conditions. They have weaknesses with very little overlap with one another. Furthermore, the ones who carry shields tend to have shields that do a really effective job at offsetting their weaknesses.
In my normal Minimalist Runs I get through this segment with a Frost Fusion Affinity and Earth Fusion Corpse Reviver. I can't use the Corpse Reviver here, and my Slashy Nail is out of DP so it doesn't make an adequate substitute. Fortunately I'm able to compensate by having a decent Blunt weapon available to me.
As things get harder I'm going to have to compensate more and more with magic, so the time spent standing waiting for MP to recover is going to increase. I'll try to keep aiming to have the worst of it at the end of videos so it's easy to skip, but I can only do so much.
