Why BOTW Link is Right-Handed [Advent Calendar #10]
Link's dominant hand is one of those weird issues that gets way more attention from the developers of the Legend of Zelda game than, say, his gender. Eiji Aonuma can give a detailed explanation behind why Breath of the Wild Link uses his right hand for sword swinging, but when asked about a female player character in the series, he insists that Link has to be a boy but doesn't exactly show his working.
Sorry. He insists that "Zelda" is a boy. Still tempted to do that video at some point this month, just to annoy people, but I'm fighting the urge thus far.
Anyway, here's where things stand on the first eve of Hannukah: the Game Awards are taking place in about an hour and twenty minutes, but I will be asleep because we're in the UK and parents and I need my beauty sleep (I *really* need my beauty sleep).
Everyone's currently hoping that we get to see a bit of Breath of the Wild 2 at some point during the awards ceremony. I really hope we do. Pro tip: the more actual gameplay footage you see, the closer the game is to completion. If we get a cinematic, that means that BOTW 2 is still several years away from completion.
If we don't see anything at all, then don't expect it to debut until the Switch 2, if ever.
Anyways, Happy Hannukah, we'll see you tomorrow.
Lots of love,
