About this video: In this video, I go over a 4K virtual reality gaming PC build that will let you play any and all modern games and 4K medium to max settings without any issues whatsoever. This is one of the best budget 4K gaming systems out there that will still be able to play games at max settings. So, let's go ahead and get on into the build.
For the CPU, we are going with an Intel Core i5 8600K. This is going to be a great processor for 4K gaming, and it will be able to run VR games very, very well. It is also overclockable, so we are going to be pairing it with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO air CPU cooler. This will let you overclock about half a GHz without any problem. I would recommend an AIO water cooler like the Corsair H100i v2 for more serious overclocking.
Moving on to our motherboard, we have an MSI Z370 Gaming Plus with red LED lighting, support up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM, and plenty of PCI and PCI-E slots for expansion. Speaking of RAM, we are going with two 8GB sticks of G.Skill Ripjaws V DDR4-3000 RAM. This is going to be great RAM for this system with plenty of speed and tons of room to grow in regards to gaming.
What about our hard storage though, well, you are now in a price range where you can get an SSD, so we are going with a 500GB Western Digital Blue M.2 SSD. This is where your operating system, programs, and your favorite games will go. We are also going to be throwing in a 1TB Western Digital Caviar Blue 7,200 RPM HDD for any all of your bigger games, movies, and music that your store on your PC.
This will all be paired with a Nvidia GeForce GTX 1070 8GB graphics card. This GPU is really what makes 4K and VR gaming possible, and it will be able to handle it like a champ maxing out GTAV without any issues whatsoever at full 4K. When you add in this GPU with our i5 8600K, we only get a 3% bottleneck which is absolutely incredible making this system extremely balanced.
All of this will be put in a Cooler Master MasterBox Lite 5 RGB case. This will have great airflow, incredible cable management, and stunning RGB lighting on the front which will go great with the RED LEDs on the motherboard. There is also a huge clear side panel that will let you see the beautiful system you have built inside!
Now, we still need a power supply to power this beast, and for that, we are going with a 750W EVGA SuperNOVA G2 80+ GOLD certified power supply. This PSU will give us plenty of room for overclocking the CPU and the GPU while being super power efficient at the same time.
