About this video: This video is a complete guide on how to download and install the Twilight Forest mod in Minecraft 1.16.5! What is the Twilight Forest mod? Well, it is a very long-standing mod in the Minecraft community that adds in a new dimension for you to explore, adventure in, and most importantly conquer. There are TONS of different bosses in the Twilight Forest that all take different things to kill and conquer them. I am so excited that this mod is finally updated to Minecraft 1.16.5, so let’s go ahead and get Twilight Forest installed!
The first step of installing the Twilight Forest mod is actually downloading and installing Forge for 1.16.5. Luckily, we have an in-depth Forge tutorial in the description above that shows you every single step of downloading, installing, and setting up Forge for Twilight Forest 1.16.5! We even go over the issues you may have when setting up Forge.
After you have Forge, we can move on to downloading the Twilight Forest mod. You can find the official Twilight Forest download link in the description above. On the official download page, look at the right-hand sidebar and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under that, you will see a ‘Twilight Forest-1.16.5’ version. Click the download button to the right of that, and your 1.16.5 Twilight Forest mod will start downloading.
Once you have the Twilight Forest mod downloaded, we can move on to getting it installed. To do install Twilight Forest in Minecraft 1.16.5, press the Windows Key on your keyboard and ‘R’ key at the exact same time. When you do this, the Run application will open up. In the run app, type ‘%appdata%’, and hit enter. When you do this, your roaming folder will open up. In the roaming folder, you will see a .minecraft folder. Open that, and you should have a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t have one, just create one!
Finally, to install the Twilight Forest mod in Minecraft 1.16.5, just drag-and-drop the Twilight Forest file you downloaded into this mods folder. You have now installed Twilight Forest. You aren’t completely done though! You still need to open up the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow next to the Play button, select your Forge profile, click the green play button, and confirm you know you are playing modded Minecraft. Finally, Minecraft 1.16.5 will open with the Twilight Forest mod installed!
The next step of Twilight Forest is actually getting to the Twilight Forest. to this, create a 2x2 hole in the ground and fill it with water. Then put red flowers on the corners and yellow flowers on the sides. Finally, throw a diamond into this hole. When you do that, a portal will appear. Jump into the portal and you are now in The Twilight Forest!
