[Armored Core 6] Ambushing "Honest" Brute in one combo
Mission: Eliminate "Honest" Brute
"Honest" Brute will not notice us if we approach from behind, up to about 140m between us. Sometimes nearer, but not consistent at that point.
The distance restriction, instantaneous reaction, and decent stability mean we can only overload his ACS with shoulder weapons, leaving the arm weapons to finish the job.
Fortunately the perch he is on is one of those ledges that prevent AC from getting knocked off them. This allows us to easily approach him post ACS overload.
00:00 - Some nonsense
00:11 - Full mission demo
02:10 - Setup with 2xLCD + HMMR + Wuerger
==========
The full mission is to show that these setups have no impact on the mission as a whole, but feel free to skip to the setup since it's just 2 minutes of assault boosting.
2 LCDs to stagger, then a HMMR swing for damage and to extend the stagger for a charged Wuerger to follow up.
03:04 - LCB + Fasan + Ashmead
==========
The asymmetric shoulder weapons create a weird near instantaneous but delayed stagger. While not necessary, it helps the pile bunker with making contact.
It's hard to ascertain if this is a true combo or if he simply cannot get away from the plasma bubble in time. Either way, it can be pulled off consistently enough for me to feature this.
03:28 - 2xEarshot + Stun Baton + Fist
==========
Punching has an innate ability to prolong stagger to the extent of landing a charged Stun Baton. Another punch then to keep him stunned until the electric explosion.
Sometimes the Earshot grenades can do slightly less damage for some reason, resulting in the target surviving by a couple pixel's worth of AP.
Recorded on a PS4, patch 1.06.01.
Equipments to note:
+VE-20C generator (128 energy weapon specialisation + high EN output).
+BASHO arm (158 melee attack specialisation).
Other parts are interchangeable, I simply pick parts that minimise the need to swap around when changing setups.
My personal rules are:
+ Not exceeding load limit.
+ Aim for true combo setups.
+ Aim for variety than just max damage setups.
Future patches will probably change stuff. Very likely will not do a follow up when it does.
