Army of Two: Devil's Cartel - incidental glitches
Just some incidental glitches and observations from my first playthrough of this game. It was a pretty decent title, and much longer than I expected.
Oh, there are some spoilers in the later half of the video, in case you care about this game's light-weight story at all. Also, loud audio warning for the last few clips here.
0:00 - doing a glitchy slide to cover that is right next to Alpha.
0:14 - I somehow managed to glitch one of the tutorial markers. So now the game is pointing me to go to two different directions.
0:31 - at least on PS3 there are occasional awkward moments where the game just pauses during a cutscene to load some stuff.
0:50 - floating body (or torso, more like).
1:02 - out of a whim I tried to skip a cutscene and quit to main menu simultaneously. As a result, the game was softlocked in the main menu, and only one button worked in it (Playstation store).
1:30 - there was a repeating bug where my partner would fall out of bounds all by himself and get killed, resulting in a game over. This was the first instance of it.
1:50 - pointlessness.
2:02 - another floating body.
2:24 - another instance of game stopping to load something in the middle of a cutscene.
2:47 - some delightful Y-fighting at the bottom of the boxes.
2:57 - just a small mechanics quirk. It's possible to use a knife in cover by knifing during the animation where you enter cover.
3:12 - tried to go out of bounds by having partner kick a door on Alpha. The door just goes through him.
3:40 - I ran ahead of my partner to the end of the area. While waiting for him, he fell out of bounds all by himself.
3:57 - small graphics thing.
4:13 - yet another floating body.
4:27 - a third instance of Bravo falling out of bounds and dying by himself. Dammit, stop hogging all OoB action from Alpha!
4:45 - the scripting for this part is a bit lacking, and so the boss whose name is S obviously sticks around - in a chase scene no less - until you hit a trigger a bit later on the path. He can be shot at, but is invulnerable at the moment.
5:15 - some distressing looking out of bounds scenery.
5:29 - loud audio warning. While fighting some of the last enemies in the game, there was a glitchy sine tone type of beep and a hint of noise as well. No idea what caused that. It happens again in a second clip afterwards.
5:47 - I fought the final boss in Overkill-mode and went right next to his vehicle. Seems a death trigger became buffered and killed the character in a glitchy way a bit later on, when I wasn't even in contact with the vehicle any more.
