A.k.a. a very quiet day at the bus depot.

Turns out Checkpoint 0 was still possible in one more level: Chapter 10. So here's some sightseeing from that level's empty version, as per usual.

0:00 - your default outcome when loading Checkpoint 0 in this Chapter.

0:12 - after moving around, one of the most common locations Max spawns in is at the bus depot. This is an area you never come on foot during the game, so it's pretty neat to run around and check things out closer.

0:30 - for some reason these payphone shields crumble as you walk into them. This can hurt Max in the process. ...They just don't make 'em like they used to.

0:44 - deeper in the yard, there are some lights floating in air.

1:28 - invisible walls block all obvious passages into the depot building.

1:34 - since this is kind of a cutscene-only area, the collision is a little unreliable at places...

1:50 - the bus depot features a dead end of no discernible utility at both sides of the U-shaped yard. This design doesn't seem entirely intuitive for a bus depot, but hey. Meanwhile, the collision on both sides has ran out and you can explore an out of bounds area there.

2:36 - You can step into some of the bus depot rooms from the inside like this, but it isn't all that interesting.

3:18 - the flickering part a little deeper out of bounds seemed interesting, so I went in to take a closer look.

3:50 - progressing backwards through the level, Max enters the office building-type area next to the bus depot.

5:29 - however, the door at the start of the offices is locked, so you can't go further than that.

5:57 - back to the bus depot yard. Here's a clear clip of the payphones hurting Max. These phones are should be recalled ASAP.

6:08 - just checking out the scenery on the outer edge of the bus depot a little closer.

6:40 - taking a closer look at the small "indoors" depot. More of those public health hazard payphones. Some nice glass tile walls. Also, the road leading upstairs is a dead end. Something about it reminds me of Silent Hill.

7:29 - the road continues to the other side of the bus driving set piece where Max and Giovanna were threatened with a rocket launcher. Good times.

8:02 - and of course you know ground is about to give way if the textures start looking like pixelated wet cement.
