Max Payne 3 - "Checkpoint 0" glitch in Chapter 10 pt. 2
5Second part of relaxed exploration. Like in most Max Payne 3 levels, these out of bounds areas are surprisingly large.
0:00 - If you go to right directly after exiting the tunnel, you come upon another large bus depot type area. This is actually the cutscene-only area from the start of the level.
2:46 - the path leading to the junk yard is blocked by an invisible wall. There is also a small gap in the floor leading there that may drop Max out of bounds.
3:44 - eventually I managed to make Max respawn to the yard of the car repair shop, where you are in Chapter 10-4. All directions out of the yard are locked or blocked by an invisible wall. There is also a ghost bus looming nearby. It tries to trap Max as he walks into it, but he manages to escape.
5:20 - another attempt made Max respawn inside the car repair shop. It's pretty empty of buses or other things to do at the moment.
6:42 - yet another attempt took Max to a small "back yard" outside the car repair shop. This seems to be the cutscene only area at Chapter 10-8 where Max pushes Giovanna through the window.
7:31 - continuing exploring the end level and following the tracks of the bus set piece. It's pretty fun to run up the stairs to the higher pathway.
9:06 - eventually Max reaches the level finale at the bus crash site, sans the bus. Maybe the building always looked like this, and didn't really become worse for the wear when Max and Giovanna crashed into it during the level.
10:23 - it's also possible to end up at a half-loaded street somewhere at the outstretch of the level. Not even sure what this place is supposed to be. Running for a while, graphics around Max disappear as the game loads the office building somewhat far to the west. I didn't find anywhere to go from this small street in the middle of nowhere; a small street forgotten by time and the devs too most likely.
