So begins our journey proper, to the great mountain, Fimbulventr! And this is the last we'll see of Enzo for a bit, thankfully. Seriously, are they trying to turn "fuggetaboutit" into his catchphrase? I don't think he even said it ONCE in Bayo 1...oh well, title card time!

With an Alex Kidd reference out of the way, here's an adorable squirrel...with bling. I'm sure its nothing important. Welcome to Noatun! Based on Venice, water plays a big role here, as we'll soon see! Let's stretch our legs out first, huh? All four of them! Beast Within returns by default in this game, thankfully, though aside from Air Dodge, Bayo will have to learn all her Techniques all over again. And this time they don't have amnesia to justify starting from square one! Oh well, I appreciate being able to dash straight away...even if you can't dash in water! Oh and you can gently float down with your butterfly wings if you hold the button down now. Not SUPER useful, but neat.

So yes, water is a big deal here and Bayo can now go underwater! Sometimes! Yeah, she's pretty slow in it though and can't dash, which is a shame. There's a treasure chest hidden in one of these underwater areas, but I couldn't remember where and didn't want to waste my viewer's precious time looking for it, so I abandoned my search for it. Which is fine, as there are TONS of them in the game! Like, jeez! Chapter 1 throws a LOT of stuff at you, outright giving you one of each lollipop item, and more besides. We also come across special chests that need to be reassembled with the "Remembrances of Time." That concept's gonna be used a LOT in this game, so I hope you don't get tired of hearing about it!

We've got notes, which obviously I'll go over in a video later, and then there's the Alfheim replacement, Muspelheim! They function exactly the same way as before, but overall I find them far easier and more fun to do. My performance in these early ones are kinda...dodgy. I get a little overconfident! I'll occasionally retry ones I might fail, if they're quick enough, but not always. Don't get used to it!

We'll get a proper introduction to some of these Angels we're meeting, but the game's a little odd about not introducing some of them right when you first meet 'em. There's a new item here too, Midas's Testament. Basically, ring it and enemies will drop more Halos for a short time. Never really used 'em much though, as most of the time this game has you DROWNING in money, which is nice.

Now, we meet Rodin in one portal to his shop...and then there's another portal right next to it basically. I kinda wonder why they didn't take one out, but what are you gonna do?

Time to meet a new character! Let's see...fights with cards, has a golden pyramid chained to his neck...Yugi?! Quite a mouth on this guy though, huh? Not much can be gleamed from him before hes off though. Oh well, I'm sure he's unimportant and we'll never see him again.

Accolades are properly introduced, despite having fought one a few times! All-in-all, not too bad to deal with. I still got hit more here than I needed to...and barely took any damage, really. I picked up a magic butterfly mid-battle, by the way, if you were wondering what that was. And hey...a Gold LP?! Already?! Let's got check that out, shall we?
