Time for a doozy of Chapter, but the good kind of doozy! Loki and Luka briefly interact and then they're off, just like that. Loki seems awfully OK with almost being eaten by a Glamor and hey, our ominous Maskey friend is here!

Now, I missed this in recording, because I didn't notice it, but that hole Bayo looks in has a Note in there. Its the only one I had missed in my normal playthrough, so don't forget it.

Hop on some rooftops and engage a new enemy, Fidelity! With quite a bit of reach, these squid-like Angels can put up a good fight...well, not quite yet. But they'll get their second wind!

I apologize for not doing this now, but I had forgotten to go over the little blurbs for my new weapons, so here they are.

Verse 2 demonstrates how NOT to use Kafka, if you want a good combo score. Enemies falling off and preventing me from continuing to combo them didn't help! At least I got a Gold rank...

Let's open this door and...oopsie. Here's a tricky chest tucked right under that building, so don't miss it! I mean, its just a lollipop, but it might come in handy.

Witch Walk time once again! Its in your best interest to explore this tower before moving forward, what with a chest and a portal here. Yeah uh...heh heh...best to Torture Attack those shield enemies if you get the chance. Umbran Climax does a load of damage, sure, but it can't finish them off fast enough before they just block your attacks and end your combo. A quick do-over! You saw no failure!

Better make sure you get everything before SUDDEN URBANE! In case you're wondering, as a little Easter Egg of sorts, if you press the dodge button during certain cutscenes at specific points, Bayo will start the battle in Witch Time, which we see as far back as the Prologue! Urbane ain't too much trouble...just hardy!

Loki and Maskey hit if off pretty well, huh? Now if Loki and Bayo have a "special relationship" then why are you so keen to ditch her and keep moving, Loki? Ah well, kids, right? Still, we should probably hurry to him...or not!

Verse 6 is odd, only appearing if you go in that small room, as then the Fidelities "surprise" you...but only on your first playthrough. Ha ha! knew you were coming! Oh and don't forget that sneaky chest. Sure, its another lollipop but it's tasty, I'm sure. There's a crow above that chest too, but I didn't feel like going for it...

Yeah, I got a little paranoid right after this, combing over the area, as I had forgotten where the other LP was...right in front of us, really! We'll figure out what it is in the next Chapter though, let these other new weapons breath a bit, ya dig?

Let's disrupt these young lovers to get some swag! Oh and then that triggers Verse 8. I remembered to use my Torture Attack then! Ew! You can see the meat reassemble itself! And now you see the "real" way you're supposed to deal with these. Once you dizzy them, you can Counter their attack and leave them wide open...not sure why I got a Stone medal for combo though...I thought I did that pretty efficiently and stylishly enough!

Enough talk! Have at you, Maskey! Oh, Masked Lumen? Now THIS is a rival battle! In all honestly, this might be the best boss fight in the entire game. Its all downhill from here! Naw, the other fights are fine, but the sheer spectacle on display here is amazing!

Lumen Sages use Light Speed as a counter to Witch Time, basically meaning that Maskey here moves FAST. Fast enough to toss his glaive and then run over to catch it! He's got some projectiles too, but the real trouble is keeping up with him. He can summon parts of Angels to attack as well, a counterpart to Wicked Weaves. I'm still workshopping a name for them; he seems to use feathers to channel them so...Pious Plumage? I'll get back to you!

Now we switch to phase 2, Labolas vs. Fortitudo! I don't know what fight to watch! As the demons duke it out in the background, the Sage gains a new trick. Occasionally he'll push you back and begin charging an attack. Fortitudo will respond and also begin an attack. Knock him out of it quick enough and you'll save yourself a world of hurt, AND have Labolas step in to stop Fortitudo! Really, the battle in the background is a reflection of how well you're doing in the foreground, which is cool stuff.

Phase 3 hits us with an aerial battle and Madama Butterfly vs. Temperantia! Much of the same still applies here. Now, apparently when you do a Love is Blue Wicked Weave or Umbran Climax here, parts that Madama Butterfly supplies will phase off of her main body in the background, but I've never seen it. She DOES glow purple when Umbran Climax is in use at least...

Phase 4!? Seriously?! We briefly get to control Madama Butterfly herself for some good Punch-Out-themed fisticuffs! Hook! Body blow! Uppercut! Now that...is an explosive end.

Wait, is that NOT the final boss? I'm spent already game! As for who won....FIND OUT NEXT TIME.

(I'm super proud of myself for getting a Platinum on that Chapter. Good for ME!)
