In honor of Bayonetta joining the roster of Super Smash Bros. 4, let's celebrate with a playthrough of her games! Enjoy this opening, composed of many flashing images that don't make any sense (right now!).

There's a LOT that's going to go on in this game that can boggle the mind and won't make a lot of sense, even WITH context, but for now, just know that Bayonetta is an action game created by PlatinumGames, composed of many people from the former Capcom studio, Clover. As you can tell here, I'm playing the Wii U port. For the most part, its the "definitive" version of the game, and I'll cover the exclusive goodies at a later date.

You might hear some people refer to Bayonetta as a "Character Action Game," or rarely a "Spectacle Fighter," but basically its a beat-em-up with an emphasis on style. You're challenged to defeat enemies as flawlessly as possible, crafting fun combo moves that flow together fluidly. Basically, aim to be as cool as possible.

These descriptions will work to explain as much as possible, but I'll state right now that I'm not an expert on Bayonetta. I DO plan on being as extensive with coverage as I can, but there are some things that are either beyond me to show (like things on higher difficulties) or just too much of a drag to show (like grinding for money to buy certain things).

While I aim to practice stages before recording them, this is by NO MEANS a flawless run. If I get hit, I'm not going to fret too much. There may be times when I legitimately suck, but I'll do my best! Following that, I won't be going for every single verse (battle section) in the game, completing all challenges or going for the highest rankings on stages. So just sit back, relax, and let me show off this game as best I can.
