Time to start cracking on the bosses in the final dungeon. You get three teams of up to four party members each in order to hack your way through a pretty big dungeon.

As for bosses, each team will eventually face three. Team 1 would only actually face two in some cases, but I'll go more into that when the time comes.

For now, team 2 kicks things off by fighting...an optional boss? In vanilla, that was the case. In this hack, Atma becomes a required boss to drop in order to pass through the exit to the south.

In any case, Atma plays very similar to the fight on the Floating Continent. That means when glow happens and you're told power is being built up, be ready for a Flare Star to signify the transition into the second half of the fight.

For the second half of the fight, Atma can use Meteor. Nowhere near as powerful as Brown-D's. You do want Amulets on everyone if possible to take some of the sting out of Mind Blast. Makes it easier to run damage control for the status effects that may pop up.

As for the characters on tap here, most tend to be a bit on the slow side, but luckily Shadow's got HasteX to alleviate that. Once he fires that off, he can Bserk himself and start the pain train. Yes, that means he has no Amulet equipped.

As for the rest...Cyan hits like a truck, especially with his Tempest Bushido, Terra likewise hits hard with Ice 3 morphed (and can move to the frontlines and attack with her Omega Weapon if her mp runs dry), and Setzer is the primary healer of the group.

I do like how Atma's one Mind Blast hits everyone with a status...except Shadow. You know, the guy without any sort of status protection? He responds in kind by killing the poor sucker of a boss.
