Time to tackle the final bosses!

First off, you get to select which order your 12 people brought into the tower get to enter battle. The first four people on the list will begin the fight. I'll mention the purpose of the other eight in a bit.

For now, the final battle kicks off with a fight against some giant demon thing, the first of four phases to this fight. There's three targets here which consist of a face and two arms. For the most part, they all use single target attacks with some exceptions which involve talking about the phase transitions.

After each phase transition, any ko'd characters on your side will be replaced with the next person on your list. That's why I had four good characters in reserve ready to go if something goes wrong...and it can.

For phase 1, all parts can use a move on death that's designed to knock out a character for the unaware. Head uses Glare which I'm pretty sure is like getting ko'd, even though the move inflicts petrify. Rerise will not help with that. Logic would tell you to knock the head out first so you can prepare for the next phase easily, right?

Well, the small hand (the one where you can only really see the fist), if it's low on hp, will take itself out and possibly some of your team members via using Quake (And it will have the good sense to pull off a G-Force to bring down floating people). Hell, taking damage means it puts you in a tough position for phase 2.

Phase 2 has four targets. Heavy magical presence in this fight with the odd wave of physical strikes here and there. Considering four targets, it can be rather easy to see just about anyone get knocked out with that many targets attacking each turn. If you got any good attacks that hit all enemies (Terra's Ultima while morphed is one very good example), now would be the time to start really going crazy with its use.

However, when one target's left, it'll try to take a character out by using Exploder to sacrifice itself. Hope you got Rerise active on everyone here!

Phase 3 has two targets, a man in front and the girl in the back. Taking the girl in the back out first is advised because she can and will revive the man in front if he so happens to drop first. Otherwise, some strong magic gets used here. Having a healer on standby will help.

While it didn't happen to me in this video, I believe the man can use Merton to take itself and possibly some of your units out. That'd be much more threatening if I didn't have three of my people with either resistance or immunity to one of Merton's two elements (fire & wind). Shadow would have likely been nuked instantly by that move, but luckily I had a good backup physical striker to replace him if such an incident occurred.

Next time, Kefka!
