Time for team #1 to get in on some boss action. The target is a giant mecha which once skulked around Vector.

Guardian decides to pull the boss rush card for this fight, shift programs to match the attacks used by a select portion of previous bosses. It'll always go in a specific order and it's as follows:

1. Ultros - Tentacle spam for some decent damage (and as a potential counter on a single target so watch out for that), El Nino for some water damage to the party.

2. Soul Train - Evil Toot can be annoying due to the myriad of status ailments that can come off it. Otherwise, not too nasty of a phase.

3. Dadaluma - Summons two Androids before jumping. The Androids can be nasty if not killed quickly since Delete can instantly kill a character and Exploder, if used as their first action, is likewise going to be an instant kill. With only 3000 hp though, a couple good hits will drop them.

4. Crane - Opens with Barrier so cast Dispel to remove that if you can. May use Magnitude, but otherwise not a particularly threatening phase.

5. Doom Gaze - Opens with Doom. Probably has Aero too, but didn't do much here other than flail around and do nothing important.

6. Hidon - Open with Shield. If, and this is a big if, you happen to being using any physical strikers, remove the buff via Dispel. Otherwise, uses Raid and I'm sure some other moves are used.

7. Epic malfunction, hits itself several times, spouts a line from Gato of Chrono Trigger fame, then blows up and the fight ends.

Now, you might have noticed with Hidon I said to Dispel if and only if you're using any physical attackers. The thing is, Guardian has extremely high physical defense. So much so that vig Celes here basically has to run with several pieces of magic boosting gear because otherwise she wasn't going to do much damage otherwise.

Thankfully, vig Locke can do good physical damage and it's all due to his Valiance weapon. Obtianed in the Ancient Castle, it lets him do more damage the lower his hp goes. Also, it ignores defenses so he can hit for a solid 4k+ damage per turn.

As for Relm, she's pulling the lion's share of healing duties in this battle and doesn't have to rely on casting Cure 3 or RegenX that often thanks to her brushes. They allow her to heal whomever she wishes with the chance to proc a beneficial status effect. In the case of her Ross Brush, that status effect is haste. Always useful. Her Radiant Gown also enhances her brush healing capabilities via boosting the chance those procs go off.

Gogo manages to output some damn fine damage on his own. 5k+ per Bolt Scroll tossed is quite nice plus the fact he can work with Relm and get safe & shell buffs up on the whole team quickly.
