Well, team 1 has only had a single boss fight to contend with. Approaching the spot where you begin to decide what team is going to go where for the next set of storyline bosses, there's something blocking the way.

Back in the last video, I mentioned there being a special guest that would should up after all 8 dragons were defeated. Turns out killing them all made their king rather ticked off and he wants some revenge.

Kaiser Dragon's offense is comprised of basically every major attack the other optional dragons had. Unlike most of them though, the king has much higher magic power, meaning something like S.Cross will just obliterate anyone with low m.def and no shell buff active. Hell, even with shell up and running, one S.Cross knocks off two thirds of Locke & Shadow's hp.

Kaiser also employs Wallchange to keep you guessing on its weakness. Unlike with Magimaster and #024 though, you won't be able to figure out what that is just by seeing what Kaiser casts next. Luckily for me though, my main offensive is all physical. That does carry a high chance of seeing either Bonebreak or Holy being used as a counter. Bonebreak gets mitigated easily with image spam, but Holy might be a bit of a sting. Shadow especially was at risk of being nuked instantly if Holy connected.

Finally, Kaiser will just randomly use Polarity out of nowhere. Not targeting a single person like the counterattack version, but rather hitting your whole party. Doesn't really affect anyone aside from Shadow though who gets his damage halved in the back row. Hard to decide if it's better to let him keep on chugging away while berserked or use a Remedy on him, move him back to the front row, then cast Bserk on him again.

In any case, Kaiser's death results in the Excalibur being yours to play with. Very awesome sword with auto-crit capabilities and, if whomever can equip it so wishes, can 2-hand it for increased power.
