Breath of Fresh Fire #32 - Nina's Destiny II
1Breath of Fresh Fire is a mod by ludmeister for the GBA version of Breath of Fire 2. This mod changes a number of things such as rebalanced characters, expanded shaman fusing options, rebalanced spells, and so on. The difficulty is lightly boosted as well.

Time for Nina's test. She simply needs to go to the room to the north with a lone statue in it.
The catch? Rocks that are moving around for whatever reason. There are two chests to nab in this room, a Wind Robe in the northwest and a Wind Bracelet in the northeast, the latter being an accessory with a +10 boost to speed.
Anyways, in that room with the lone statue, Nina has to prove herself in a short boss fight. Said boss has almost no hp. Two good spells from Nina will put it down long before she is in any real danger.
Afterwards, Nina gets the Wing Mark, then find out the boss is actually her great grandmother, the Nina from the first BoF game. The reason the Windian family no longer has the powers of the Great Bird? BoF1 Nina fell in love with a man from another tribe, thusly weakening the bond.
After more chatter, BoF1 Nina leaves after asking if she's forgiven for what she did. Makes no difference what you say here. Return back to the statue that brought you here to be warped back to your party, rearrange it back to your liking, and return to the king to rest for the inevitable date with destiny for Nina...
...That is, unless little Mina intervenes while everyone is sleeping and nabs the Wing Mark.
When Nina wakes up, head to the stairs leading to the king's bedroom, but this time head to the southwest of that for a set of stairs. Follow Mina this way until you reach the outside of a ceremonial room. Nina gets locked out by Mina. Little Mina knows she can't help fight the demon, but Nina can, thusly the reason why she wants to become the Great Bird....and become it she does.
After her transformation, Nina isn't exactly in the best of moods, but knows there's more at stake...namely, saving the world from evil and all that.
On the world map, Nina has a new ability she can use if she's in the lead...summoning the Great Bird to take you anywhere you want. More areas are now available for exploration and our beloved whale is going to see much less action.
Before ending the video, I run back into Windia Castle, go into the room where Hina first spoke to her daughter, and take the 2nd door from the left. The treasure room is now available to be plundered for a Moon Drop, Silver Tiara, and Miracle.
