Breath of Fresh Fire is a mod by ludmeister for the GBA version of Breath of Fire 2. This mod changes a number of things such as rebalanced characters, expanded shaman fusing options, rebalanced spells, and so on. The difficulty is lightly boosted as well.

The latest version of the mod can always be found here: http://jeffludwig.com/bof2/download.php

As always, do your own search for the ROM you need.

The party just made it back to Tiga's tent in CotLnd at the end of the last video. Patty is back so the rebellion against St.Eva can begin, but he wants to marry Katt for some reason. Apparently the two are from the same tribe.

To further Tiga's point, he wants to fight Ryu. Just say yes when he asks if Ryu & Katt are friends and if Ryu approves of Tiga & Katt getting married. Everyone rests up, Tiga & Katt share a tender moment together, and she leaves with Tiga to Bando in the south.

While I could go back to Township to add a fourth character, I don't bother. This next area is short & easy enough that my main trio can handle it easily on their own.

To reach Bando easily, follow the land as it curves south, west, then southeast. At the end of it is Bando. Enter in.

Talk to Tiga to find out he wanted Ryu's group to cause massive damage. What a shock. When there's nobody home, that can be difficult.

Katt luckily finds a hidden passage in the back. Tiga wants Ryu's group to head in and find the priest in there.

The theme of the random enemies here? All spiritual ones, meaning reduced damage from everything except holy based attacks. Expect fights to take a bit longer as a result.

Heading north after you head through the hole, you'll run into some random knight who attacks you. Nothing special about him except for the fact Rand picks up Earth Chant at lv34. Interesting spell that can halve the hp of all enemies. Extremely useful for N. Riders.

After taking some stairs down at the northern end of the room, you'll end up in a room with a door exiting to the north and two arrows on the ground, one pointing left, the other right.

Step on the one pointing right, then head to where the northern door moved to in order to grab a Snake Staff for Katt. Return to the arrows and hit it three more times, then head to where the door is now and head through it to go down the stairs inside the room.

In this next room, take the southern path to stairs going up. Climb them, then go west for a 1000 zenny chest, then return to the previous room and go all the way north and take the steps going down.

In this new room, heal up your party, then approach the center to find Father Manson. Turns out he was the one who pointed all those people to the Grand Church. Said people went slowly crazy...and Father Manson himself takes the crazy road by turning into a demon, then attacks your party by sending three Zombies to start things off. These Zombies are not the weak ones from the beginning of the game. Fair bit of hp, but not really deadly otherwise.

After the brief fight, Father Manson says the souls of the dead become the strength of St.Eva's god. He uses a name change quick cast move to make his name Necroman, then attacks your party.

Necroman is the first boss to actively abuse placing the rot status on characters via his Rotten Breath move or a physical strike that hits one target called Zombie. You'll need to keep tabs on this and apply Panaceas as required to cure it. Nina doesn't have to worry because of her Sacred Bracelet, a rare drop from Banbhands on Mt. Maori.

Necroman also uses Drain (Also known as why the hell do enemies STILL have this worthless move?) and does light damage with his physical attack. I believe he also has Death, probably the one move that would be cause for concern, but he never used it here.

After some gibberish, Necroman disappears and you can claim the EvraiRD from the chest. This allows you to enter & exit the Grand Church as you wish.

Return to Tiga & Katt now. You'll start making your preparations to invade the Grand Church, but you are advised by them to learn about the teachings of St.Eva. Completely optional, don't bother with this advice.

Do go rearrange your team and save up though.
