Breath of Fresh Fire is a mod by ludmeister for the GBA version of Breath of Fire 2. This mod changes a number of things such as rebalanced characters, expanded shaman fusing options, rebalanced spells, and so on. The difficulty is lightly boosted as well.

Time to give Sten some new powers! By fusing him with the fire & wind shamans, he turns into one slick looking king of monkeys. This shoots his attack power & speed, among other stats, to pretty damn high levels. It also changes his unique skill in battle to Swch (Switch). Basically, it restarts the fight, but with different enemies. Useful if you're hunting for rare ones.

Now, to FarmTown. Nothing special to find aside from a Coin in a cabinet on the 2nd floor of a complex in the north. Just take the door on the far left outside to be in the house you want.

As for that middle door? Apparently someone wants to build a church of St.Eva on the property. Not so says the owner, Daisy, who promptly kicks the knight out. Head inside to talk to her to find out that she happens to be Rand's mother. She's a little upset with her son (But I'll blame that on the knight from earlier personally), then forces the entire party to plow the fields out back.

Nothing special back here besides stumps, grass, rocks (Which you can one shot with 1000Cuts)...and a special prize of a S. Golem boss fight when you examine the last thing you have to clear out. Joke fight once again, but this is because Sten in his new form + a Power Potion meant he was breaking the boss in half...literally.

Afterwards, talk to Daisy to get some rest, then talk to her out in the back. She'll want you to go to Namanda in the west to pray for a good harvest.

Exit FarmTown and head west all the way, then follow the route as it wraps north, then east, then south back to Namanda.

Inside, there's some monks to talk to. Some are ringing a bell in unison, something you can do after this little side trip is all over with for a spell, EarthChant. If it connects, it will halve the hp of the entire enemy party. Useful, but this little minigame is annoying as hell and I don't want to bother with it to be perfectly honest. Besides, Rand will learn it at lv34. Good enough for me!

Anyways, what you're looking for here is a donation box which will ask for a 100 zenny donation. You only need to do this once to advance the story, but you actually want to do this a total of 20 times, thusly a total donation of 2000 zenny. This will let you nab a new shaman later on in the game as a result.

With this done, head back to where Daisy was tending to the fields at FarmTown. That knight is there and he hands Rand a note from Daisy. She changed her mind about having the church built on her property. Rand calls him out on this, saying she wouldn't even dare allow this (And considering she booted the critter out last time, I'm inclined to believe that).

Dear knight (which is a Paladin)...if there's one thing I've learned about Rand...you do not tick him off. What you just did was exactly that. Have fun dying in two might boosted hits with the latter being a critical hit. Your damage was good though, I'll give you that.

Afterwards, Ray appears once again with the whole "St.Eva is your savior" or something like that. Rand politely asks him to screw off and get away from his mother's land.

Afterwards, he asks you the obvious question...Daisy wouldn't agree to this church being built, right? While this has no effect on any items you may get in the future, the best answer here is yes. Rand then mentions the best way of getting to the Grand Church is by air...but we don't have a way of doing that right now.

Back to Township to devise a plan for next time!
