Breath of Fresh Fire #27 - Under the Microscope
2Breath of Fresh Fire is a mod by ludmeister for the GBA version of Breath of Fire 2. This mod changes a number of things such as rebalanced characters, expanded shaman fusing options, rebalanced spells, and so on. The difficulty is lightly boosted as well.

Time to help the queen. For this task, Spar has taken Sten's place in the lineup and has been properly grinded to lv26 off screen. This gives him a nuke in the form of Quake to use. This off screen grinding also resulted in Jean hitting lv25, netting him Restore, and Bleu hitting lv36, netting her Exit.
Anyways, to the queen. Plan is simple...the mushroom shrinks your party, Gedd sends you into the queen's body to do some extermination of enemies.
The enemies inside the queen's body are pretty damn pathetic aside from Pepshuns with Fire Breath and Fatties with high hp and a tendency to run away from battles. The exp though is crazy good, enough for everyone in this team to get at least 3-4 levels by the time you're done here.
Anyways, there are four sections to the queen's body, Upper Left & Right as well as Bottom Left & Right. You need to do a certain number of fights in each section of the body. Gedd will tell you when a section is half cleared and fully cleared. If random battles disappear in one room, move to another one and check to make sure the mascot goblin in the upper left of your menu is dancing.
Everyone on my team picks up some kind of useful spell from their level ups here. Rand gets Raise & Remedy, Nina gets Death, Spar gets Freeze, and Ryu gets Warp, thereby eliminating the need to have Sten, Spar, or Jean in my party at all times for getting around the world map.
Anyways, once the queen's been normalized, you're brought out of her body. She certainly looks a bit too skinny, but the demon that was festering in her body has been purged at least. She thanks you by allowing you to take the treasure in the vault.
Head down two flights of stairs, then enter a door in the northwest with a guard to the side of it. Speak to the girl inside and you'll get the Therapy Pillow, good for one wake up call to a certain giant tree in a forest.
We'll be paying a visit to that critter once again next time!
