Today we continue our discussion of "Character - The Grandest Thing In The World", a book written by Orison Swett Marden and published in 1899. This is a fascinating book, and is labeled by many as one of the first of a wave of self-help type books that swept late 1800's America.
Chapter 6 is titled, "A Fragment of the Rock of Ages", illuding to Jesus Christ, the rock of ages. Marden puts forward that those of good character have a fragment of this rock within them, allowing them to stand while others fall or fail. It is a good chapter that touches on the sanctity of one's word.
