There's nothing unique about the Dragon God under these (or virtually any...) run conditions. He's always a OHKO if he catches you.
0:53 I knew this video was going to be a fairly short one, so I wanted to go ahead and throw my load screen on this one so you can see my file, mainly to show my overall clock, which currently sits at 93 hours even.
3:06 The fight begins. I considered doing this encounter the proper way and avoiding detection throughout, but then I thought... that would take skills, so why bother? So I spammed Second Chance instead. Even though the Dragon God is pretty easy under any run conditions, Second Chance even further trivializes him because he doesn't tend to ever hit you more than one single massive hit.
3:17 I'm able to break the stones in a single hit because I'm two-handing a weapon that is classified as a large sword and using the R2 attack. This can be done with any large sword in the game, even if you don't have the stats to wield it. If for some reason you don't have one, you can either buy a Claymore from the Dredgling Merchant, go grab the Bastard Sword in 1-1, or the Storm Ruler from 4-3 should also count (although I haven't verified that one).
4:26 Just to be clear about exactly what's going on here. During the second phase of combat, the Dragon God has an incredibly long "flinching" animation, where he can't see you. This actually renders the second phase much easier than the first phase. However, if he ever detects you and even gets to his first roar, his flinching will be disabled. This makes the second phase much tougher unless you use ranged attacks like Soul Ray (though still not impossible).
5:18 I have no idea why my Northern Regalia is missing so frequently here. I have never seen that happen before. Maybe it's because I'm two-handing and I normally one-hand? In any event, I still have Second Chance up at this point, so I've got a pretty huge margin for error.
After this I switch back to my preferred spells (Soul Ray and Evacuate) and rings (Thief and Eternal Warrior's) and restore PBWT to World 2.
