1:09 The dash through 2-1 begins. This shortcut is pretty famous already, there isn't too much for me to add here I don't think. For several of these drops the key is just to fall slow enough that you don't overshoot the platform below. At 1:55, make sure you fall just to the right of the little nub, not the left.

I also demonstrate how easy it is to have Hyper Mode active by the time you reach Flamelurker, even though the strategy I use here doesn't really need it.

2:50 The Flamelurker fight begins. The Thief Ring is essential for this method, obviously. Poison lasts for exactly 3 minutes, so I'm using a stopwatch to know when to renew it to speed this along as much as possible, while watching jmcrofts play DBFZ.

24:50 I finish off the battle with a little bit of yolo. I'm not sure if I'll do this on the other Poison Cloud bosses in the game or not, but I had Flamelurker's HP timed pretty closely from previous runs.

I know that 25 minutes might seem to some like an insanely long time to kill Flamelurker, but in actuality he is one of the hardest, most unpredictable bosses in the game. If you were to actually attempt to fight him fair using almost any other strategy at SL1 NG+5 PBWT, you would consider beating him in 25 minutes to be superb execution and luck. The technique I'm using here may be boring and make for a poor video, but it is far and away the fastest, most reliable method of beating 2-2 under these run conditions.

It's worth mentioning, it is also possible to lure Flamelurker over to the fog gate you enter from and get him stuck on the large ribs protruding from the ground, then sniping away at him with Hyper Mode Soul Ray for a quick and easy victory. I consider this a glitch, though, so opted not to include it as part of this run.

After Flamelurker I do the usual two suicides to restore PBWT. I could have tried to stick Dragon God at the end of the run here, but I decided this video was long enough as it is, so I'm just going to make him his own really short segment.
