The Lost Magic was a last minute decision for me. I was always curious on whether I should speedrun the maps or whether it's something I should just play casually and move on. Fellow player mmjp08 had told me roughly about the speedrunning accessibility for The Lost Magic and recommended that I gave it a go. And so I did and so far I can say that I will very likely keep this up.

This will not be like Eviternity, where I get 3 maps in and change my mind, I will commit to finishing all 32 maps! Starting with this one, it literally took me like 10 minutes. I uploaded this originally thinking nobody would want me to post this onto youtube. But alas, I made a poll and I was 100% wrong. All the voters (there were quite a few) wanted me to upload these runs. So here they are!

You may have also realised that I didn’t include a live reaction. That is because I didn’t really expect to be uploading these runs to youtube. So for some of the TLM runs, you won’t hear my voice after the map is beaten. It’s sad but it saves you from potential cringe.

For this map, it's very easy. Escape the prison, flip the switch, kill the monsters and done.

I got pretty lucky with secret 2 since sometimes one of the imps can lower with the platform and block your access to it, which is basically a restart. What's good about this map is that restarting really isn't too punishing, the map is over really quickly!

On my first playthrough, I embarrassingly struggled to escape the cell by shooting the switch. Gladly I got the hang of it, but the first secret was quite a lot of inputs at the start.

There's not much to say about this map. It's short, sweet and a great opening to a pretty easy megawad! Once again, shoutout to mmjp08 for recommending me to speedrun this wad.
