DOOM Stage 1-4 (SNES/Super Nintendo) - The first shooter that I ever played back in the 90's!
So this is DOOM for the SNES/Super Nintendo, a game from 1993 on the PC but I believe released in 1995 for the console - I actually did borrow this game a few times from an older cousin back in the 90's as we owned a Super Nintendo but not this game back in the day. This is the first shooter that I ever played and I were quite obsessed with it back then as a kid.
The music is very badass sounding and it was simply epic to move around with a shotgun and kill a bunch of dudes and aliens. The graphics looked better on an old 4:3 resolution TV but still were pretty bad by todays standards. I do believe that the graphics in this video do look worse than they did back then though.
Of course the game looked awesome back in the 90's but I am quite certain that the enemies do look more pixelated on a modern screen than on an old one.
I've never played the fourth stage in the past I think but I could misremember as it's been years since I did play this game. I actually never cared much for shooters after this game, James Bond: GoldenEye for the N64 and TimeSplitters 2 for the PlayStation 2 - after those I've hardly played shooters with some exceptions when I've been forced to play them because others played them.
