https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom2/megawads/d2reload Doom II will always be the best Doom for me because of it's expanded monster list, the beautiful supershotgun and city levels that pre-dated any build engine city levels to lay the groundwork, I've played quite a few wads that try to remake the Doom II experience but this one is unique, I found it earlier at the beginning of January 2023 and decided it would be a episode.

Released on October 19th 2009 by Eschdoom (Andy Stewart), Doom II Reloaded is a 32 level megawad that takes a different approach and makes a original story with us taking command of a UAC worker investigating lost connection and contact with a water treatment planet and unique to it's text file, it has info on every map and the mission that we're told to do when we load the next map.

While Doom II The Way I.D. Did, Doom 2 In Spain Only, and several other Doom II remix megwads all have unique mapping, Doom II Reloaded is a lot different with it's maps being much larger than anything you would've seen in 1994, The detail and the texture use also again makes the mapping look like a water treatement plant and a slightly frustrating "guardrail" addition to stairs which was annoying as I expected to pass through them.

Ammo placement and health placement in Doom II Reloaded is modest though later maps will force you to take things slow as the hell maps will really test your ability to handle tight ledges/corners while platforming and firing, What gave me a real thrill and jolt? The rocket jumps to find some secrets which I haven't seen in many wads so health was somewhat low in late levels but damn, again, I always look out for hidden gems to add to my everyday plays and Doom II Reloaded? It's amazing for a 2009 megawad.
