https://www.doomworld.com/forum/topic/126219-project-slipgate-remastered-edition-demo-released/ Now, we're going back to 1996, a time when 3D games were the newest craze with Quake being the catalyst of how FPS games were evolving. Between Wolfenstein 3D/DooM/Quake, I.D. Software along with 3D Realms and Apogee, They helped define what a true FPS game is.

This file is unique as its a demo of a remaster to a wad released in 2001. Project Slipgate was authored by Gunrock (Bryant Robinson) and The Solution (Kevin Robinson) with this Remaster being a revisioning of the original wad and was given a release on December 10th 2021. Its inspiration? Quake as you remember it in 1996 but in stunning 4K resolution with a lot of different additions.

This is another wad that did slow down my PC because the detail of Project Slipgate Remastered Edition has to be seen to believed, and its call back to the game is just incredible, Doom 64/PlayStation Doom sounds are used for the monsters, and even if its just a Demo, Its a stunning piece of work to see a wad be given a new coat of paint.
