https://www.doomworld.com/vb/thread/98433 Sometimes the most unexpected concept can become a jokewad and I've seen many such as TurboCharged! Arcade, WooD (Which will be tackled later on), Lucidrium, and Extreme Weapons pack which all brought a different Idea to the table to make something new for jokewads, and in this wad's case which was released in 2017 by Revenant100, A very common psychological breakdown and theory was made into the ulimate meme wad.

The final wad in the-then trilogy of Revenant wads by Revenant100 who is better known as MarphyBlack, It follows the trolley problem theory and psychological operation to bring 32 maps all involving the same idea, what is right and what is wrong? A revenant runs along a line and it will go by default to the left which is seen as not acting while pressing the switch will warp them right and we chose to act, so its really a matter of deciding what you want to do.

The wad starts simple but as you reach map07, it becomes more complicated as enemies sometimes will attack from fake walls, the voodoo doll gets us killed or a strange puzzle requires thinking, and later maps push it to where you can't avoid making choices that can lead to death, but this is the beauty of The Revenant Problem in that it throws the old paint can aside and mixes something new together.

[[As the fifth ever wad I tackled, The Revenant Problem still sticks in my mind for being much different vs MarphyBlack's 100,000 Revenants which was inspired by his failed attempts to make said concept in 2016 Doom and his Infinite Revenants which was the 2nd wad in his Revenants Trilogy. The first 5 wads I knew would define what the first ever season would portray, and that pushed me to somewhat obsess on which ones to do first, so I grabbed 30 at random while reading about them, and looking back on the first ever season despite its... poor quality, I see the groundwork I laid to make this dream I had since I first made my YouTube channel in October 2014 which was 5 years previously, I think that it just took time to establish myself.]]
