https://www.doomworld.com/idgames/levels/doom/Ports/s-u/sigil_v1_21 Going back to 1993, Doom had 3 episodes and they are, always have been and always will be timeless because it followed a format similar to other DOS games of having episodes, Doom gained a 4rth episode when Ultimate Doom was released but a big shock happened in 2019 when John Romero who helped bring I.D. Software to international fame with John Carrmack gained a runner-up spot at the 2019 cacoawards for the unofficial 5th episode for Doom, I'm speaking of SIGIL.

Released on May 31rst 2019, SIGIL's story picks up on an arc that is not officially canon to the ending of Thy Flesh Consumed, we've defeated the Spider Mastermind in Unto the Cruel but Baphomet who did the devil's dirty work has sent us back to hell after attempting to return to earth, so now it's time to face the real mastermind of the Deimos/Phobos invasion and again trash Hell's bathroom.

SIGIL is much different in terms of design with Romero using a style that we saw in his previous cacoaward winning Tech Gone Bad from 2016, Each map is hugely red with grey and black metal and cracks formed by map design, these all give the 9 maps of SIGIL a much more sinister and eviler feel than Inferno, SIGIL also has two soundtracks depending on which version you got with the limited edition by Romero Games having a full soundtrack by the one and only Buckethead while the free release has a soundtrack composed by the legendary James Paddock (Jimmy) and of these two, I prefer Jimmy's midis as they sound less action movie vs Buckethead and more horror film.

Do not believe SIGIL is easy by any means, not that any of the original episodes or Thy Flesh Consumed are easy, SIGIL was made with HIGH Difficulty playthroughs in mind as skill 3 and skill 4 are night and day with Ultra-Violence which I first tried SIGIL on Chewing me up like a log chipper and leaving my remains on the ground as the ammo placement is so thin that every shot matters and ammo wasting means death, Hurt Me Plenty is more forgiving but still merciless if ammo is used carelessly, Also there are some maps with Cyberdemons and without pinpoint dodging or careful rocket/plasma work, you'll be splattered over and over and over again, This being said SIGIL is beautiful, sharp, cruel and amazing all in one and its a honor to be able to play it.

[[The reason I was dismissive of SIGIL back in Season 2 was I was still a hardcore vanilla player adapting to the using of Zdoom while also having played SIGIL for the first time the day I began filming the episode on SIGIL, and playing on Ultra-Violence.. That was a mistake, I did play Ultra-Violence often every wad I had gone over previously but SIGIL thrashed me so badly I considered it too hard for me at the time, SIGIL Still trashes me to a pulp at times but that's what I respect about the creations Romero has released and with his upcoming SIGIL 2 which will be for Doom II, I'm looking forwards to seeing what it can do]]
