https://www.wad-archive.com/wad/And-The-Bloodshed-Began I've said it previously that not every wad or mod can be a winner and across nearly 11 seasons I've dug deep to find material regardless of the quality before I give it a try, and with this in mind I don't really take it lightly when I dislike or don't enjoy the wad unless I find it to be not interesting from the start, This megawad here is a case of me trying to like the wad but ending up feeling indifferent.

Authored by Datacore (Maxime Bisiaux) who has cut their teeth in previously released French wads such as the 3 Hours De-Agonie series with contributions from the late Subject119, and released on February 2nd, 2014, ATBB is a strange, jumbled mess that does show some effort, but it's held together by silly string. The elephant of the room is that all 32 maps of And the Bloodshed Began do not flow, and each map change's themes so quickly that there's no connection to a previous map, this is evident even more pronouncedly once the final episode is reached around Map21.

Ammo placement isn't bad at all in the first two episodes and it's easy to avoid using too much but later maps will require a balance of non-berserk punch and saving plasma/rockets as these become more difficult to find and less common, Finale map is very disappointing and feels like a half-hearted attempt, ATBB does have creativity in some areas but its very stale later on and struggles to stand out.

[[Up until I began to go over 3 Hours De Agonie which is to be covered sometime in the future, I wasn't aware that the French Doom Community had been making such diverse wads and among them are standout stars such as JC Dorne, FrankFRAG, Jambon, and Choww. This isn't to say that Datacore isn't a bad mapper by any means, I tried honestly to give ATBB a chance, but I would only recommend it on the basis that people go into it not expecting polish but rather rough edges, this being said I think it's a decent megawad even if there's nothing special about it. ATBB is another wad I had played first time when I shot the original video and this practice, I stopped doing around Season #6 as I could see wasn't helping me at all with video capturing]]
