Changing your email address on your iPhone—especially the one associated with your Apple ID—is a simple but important process. This is useful if you've created a new iCloud email, want to update your login credentials, or no longer have access to your old email address. This tutorial walks you through how to change the email tied to your Apple ID using the built-in iPhone settings.

Start by opening the Settings app and tapping your Apple ID profile at the top of the screen. Once inside your Apple ID menu, tap Sign-In & Security. From here, select the option that says Add Email or Phone Number. If you plan to use a new iCloud email address, tap Add Email, then choose Create a new iCloud email address. Enter your desired email name and tap Continue.

Once your new email is created and verified, go back to the Sign-In & Security screen. Tap on the old email address listed as your primary, then choose Remove from Account. If the system asks you to confirm a new primary email first, make sure you've successfully added the new email before trying to remove the old one.

After the change is complete, your Apple ID email will be updated across all Apple services, including iCloud, iMessage, FaceTime, and the App Store.

This process ensures your Apple ID stays secure and that you can continue accessing all features tied to your account.
