How to Change Apple ID Password
0Changing your Apple ID password is a quick process that helps ensure the security of your account and personal information. Whether you're updating it for routine security or because of a potential compromise, your iPhone makes it easy to change your Apple ID password directly from the settings.
To begin, open the Settings app on your iPhone and tap your Apple ID profile at the top of the screen. Next, select Sign-In and Security from the list of options. Inside this section, tap on Change Password.
You will be prompted to verify your identity using your device passcode, Face ID, or Touch ID, depending on your settings. Once verified, you’ll be taken to a screen where you must enter your current password, then type in your new password, and confirm it by re-entering it again.
After filling in the required fields, tap the Continue button to save your new password. Once updated, your Apple ID will use the new password across all Apple services including iCloud, App Store, and iMessage.
If you’ve forgotten your current password, you can tap the Forgot Password option. You’ll be asked to verify your identity using your trusted phone number, followed by entering a verification code sent to your device. Once confirmed, you can reset your password without needing the current one.
