How to Change Your Apple ID Password if Forgotten
0If you’ve forgotten your Apple ID password, you can still reset it easily using your iPhone. Apple offers a built-in recovery process that allows you to change your password securely without needing the current one, as long as you have access to your device and trusted phone number.
To get started, open the Settings app and tap on your Apple ID profile at the top of the screen. From the Apple ID menu, select Sign-In and Security, then tap on Change Password.
You’ll be asked to verify your identity using Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode. Once verified, you'll be taken to a screen where you can enter a new password. In most cases, this process does not require your current password. However, if it does, and you don’t remember it, look for the Forgot Password option on the same screen.
Tap on Forgot Password, then enter the trusted phone number associated with your Apple ID. Apple will send a verification code (OTP) to that number. Enter the code, and you’ll be allowed to set a new password for your Apple ID.
After updating your password, it will be applied across all Apple services including iCloud, App Store, and iMessage. Make sure to update your credentials in other devices and apps if you’re signed in elsewhere.
