About this video: This video shows you everything that you need to know in order to download and install Forge in Minecraft 1.16.1. We show you how to download Forge for Minecraft 1.16.1 from the official Forge download page, how to make sure you have the correct version of Java for Minecraft Forge, and then, how to install Forge 1.16.1 into Minecraft on your PC. Thus, without any more delay, here is how to download and install Forge for Minecraft Java Edition 1.16.1!
The first step of adding Forge to Minecraft 1.16.1 is downloading it. In order to download Forge for Minecraft 1.16.1 Java Edition, click the link in the description above. That will take you to our text tutorial for downloading and install Minecraft Forge. If we go to fast for you in this video, feel free to check out the text tutorial. Once you are here, click the green ‘Download Forge’ button.
You will then be taken to the official Minecraft Forge download page. Once you are here, click on ‘1.16’ on the left-hand side, and click on ‘1.16.1’. After that, you will see the 1.16.1 version of Forge appear. under ‘Latest’, click on the ‘Installer’ button. You will then be taken off to AdFocus where you want to wait 6 seconds and click the red ‘Skip’ button in the top right. Forge will then begin downloading. You will need to keep/save the Forge file you downloaded depending on your browser.
After you have Forge downloaded, it is time to get it installed. This is very easy to do. Just right-click on the Forge file you downloaded, click on ‘Open With’, and then click, ‘Java’ or ‘Java TM Platform SE Binary’. If you don’t have this option, you need to download Java from the description above, and run the Jarfix. After you open up the Forge installer with java, the Forge ‘Mod System Installer’ will open. Just click on ‘Install’ at the bottom of the installer, and Forge 1.16.1 will begin installing automatically.
When it is successful, it will come up and say ‘Successfully installed Forge 1.16.1’, or something similar. If it doesn’t install successfully, go open up Minecraft 1.16.1 without any mods, then, try to install Minecraft Forge. It should work.
At this point, you have pretty much got Forge setup in Minecraft 1.16.1. All you need to do now is go to the Minecraft launcher, click the little arrow that is next to the play button, click on the ‘Forge’ installation that is here, then, click play. Minecraft 1.16.1 will now open up with Forge installed.
