About this video: In this video, we show you how to make a Minecraft Paper server in Minecraft 1.16.1 on your PC. We go over every single step of making a PaperMC server in 1.16.1. From where to download the Minecraft Paper server files to how you can install the Paper server files for 1.16.1 to how you can allow your friends to play with you on your Paper Minecraft server, this video covers it all and shows you every single step of creating a Paper server in Minecraft 1.16.1. Thus, without any further delay, here is how to make a Paper server in Minecraft 1.16.1!
The first step of making a Paper Minecraft server is downloading the PaperMC server files for 1.16.1. You can find a link to the official Paper Minecraft server files in the description above. When you click that, it will take you to a page that says ‘Download’ at the top, under that, you will see ‘Paper 1.16.1’. Then, you will see all of the versions of PaperMC that have been released recently for 1.16.1. Click the black button with the build number and cloud download icon on it. When you do, your PaperSpigot download will begin for 1.16.1. You will need to keep/save the file depending on the browser you are using.
Once you have the Paper Server file downloaded, create a new folder on your desktop. Add the PaperMC file to it, and then, right-click and select ‘New’, and then click, ‘Text Document’. Open the new text document, and copy the code from the description above and paste in this text document. Next, click ‘file’, save as, and name the file ‘run.bat’. Make sure you change the ‘save type as’ to ‘All Files’. A ‘run.bat’ file will now appear.
Double click the run.bat file, and an ‘EULA.txt’ file will appear. Open that, and change ‘EULA=false’ to ‘EULA=true’. Save that file, and now, double click the ‘run.bat’ file. This will start your server! You now know how to make a Paper Server in Minecraft 1.16.1. However, if you want your friends to join, you aren’t done yet.
In order for your friends to join your 1.16.1 Paper Minecraft server, you will need to forward port 25565 on the UDP and TCP protocols. After you have port forwarded, your friends can join using your public IP. Once they have joined, you are done!
