So let’s go ahead and jump right on into how you can download and install Optifine in Minecraft 1.16.1 on PC!
The first thing we are going to be teaching you in this video is how to download Optifine 1.16.1. This is super simple. Just click the link next to where it says Download Optifine in the description above. That will take you to our Optifine tutorial where you will click the green 'Download Optifine' button. That will take you to the official download page for Optifine 1.16.1.
Once you are here, find the 'Minecraft 1.16.1' section. If you can't find it, click on 'Preview Versions' at the top of the page and find the '1.16.1' version. Once you find 1.16.1, click 'mirror' link next to the most recent download. That will take you to the Optifine download confirmation page. Click the 'Download Optifine_1.16.1_versioninfo.jar' link. Optifine will then start downloading. You will need to keep/save the file depending on your browser.
Now that Optifine has downloaded, it is time to install it. Just right-click on the Optifine file you downloaded, click ‘open with’, and select Java. The Optifine installer will open where all you need to do is click ‘install’. That will start the installation of Optifine. Once it finishes, click ‘okay’.
