Well, it is very similar to older Minecraft mods like Too Many Items, and Not Enough Items meaning this video is also show you how to get Too Many Items and install Not Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.1.
Nevertheless, the JEI 1.16.1 mod will allow you to easily search for and see all of the items you can get in Minecraft. You can the click on those items and see what their crafting recipes are, how to make them in furnaces, or what to do in order to get them. The first step of adding JEI to Minecraft 1.16.1 is actually downloading and installing Forge. Once you have Forge installed, we can go ahead and download Just Enough Items 1.16.1. You can get to the Just Enough Items mod official download page by clicking the link in the description above. Once you click that link, it will take you to our text tutorial for JEI 1.16.1. Just scroll down the page and click the yellow ‘Download Just Enough Items’ button. You will then be taken to CurseForge where you want to look at the right-hand side and scroll down until you see ‘Minecraft 1.16’. Under that, you will see a version of Just Enough Items. Click the purple download link to the right of this version. JEI will download after a few seconds. You will need to keep/save this file depending on your browser.
Now, it is time to learn how to install Just Enough Items in Minecraft 1.16.1. This is pretty simple. Just open up the start menu and type ‘Run’. An application will appear. Open that, and type ‘%appdata%’ in the text box. That will open your roaming folder. Here, you’ll see a ‘.minecraft’ folder. Open that, and you should see a ‘mods’ folder. If you don’t, just make one. Open the mods folder, and drag-and-drop the JEI download you got into this folder. You now know how to install the JEI mod in 1.16.1.
You aren’t complete done though. You still need to open up the Minecraft Launcher, click the little arrow next to the Play button, select the ‘forge’ profile, and then, click play. Minecraft 1.16.1 will now open up with Just Enough Items installed!
