The first step of getting XRay for Minecraft on your PC is actually download it. You can find the download link for the XRay Ultimate resource pack in the description above. Once you are there click on the yellow ‘Download XRayUltimate’ button to be taken to the official download page for the XRay texture pack. Once you are here, look at the right-hand side and scroll down until you see the ‘Minecraft 1.16’ section. Under this, you will see a version of XRay Ultimate. Click on the purple download button next to this, and the XRay ultimate resource pack will start downloading automatically.
Now, its time to learn how to install XRay in Minecraft 1.16.1 with any mods. As you already know, this is done using an XRay texture pack. What’s great about that is that is the process to install the XRay texture pack is very simple. Just open up Minecraft 1.16.1, and from the main menu, click on ‘options’. Next, click on ‘resource packs’. Then, click on ‘Open Resource Pack Folder’ in the bottom-right of Minecraft. This will open your resource packs folder. Now, to install the XRay resource pack, just drag and drop it form your desktop into this resource pack folder.
When you come back to Minecraft though, you won’t see the XRay resource pack there. That is because we need to restart Minecraft. Just close out of Minecraft, and reopen it. Then, click on ‘options’ and the ‘resource packs’ again. Now, you will see the XRay texture pack in the list of resource packs on the right-hand side of the screen. To activate the XRay texture pack in 1.16.1, just hover over it and click the little arrow that points left. That will move it into the ‘select resource packs’ section. Click ‘done’ at the bottom of the screen, and it will activate!
You may also want to turn your brightness all the way up and turn smooth lighting off in order to get the best performance out of Minecraft 1.16.1 XRay. Also note that it is not recommended to use XRay on Minecraft servers. This is because you will most likely get banned as XRay isn’t allowed on most servers.
